- 17-08-2012: The SBL web site is being made ready for the 2012 - 2013 season.
- 04-04-2011: Minor changes made to the size of the frame for the main frame to take into modern day screen resolution.
- 01-09-2010: The live fixtures list has been updated for the 2010 - 2011 season excluding dates for the knockout competitions which are yet to be arranged.
- 09-08-2010: The draft fixtures list has been updated for the 2010 - 2011 season excluding dates for the knockout competitions which are yet to be arranged.
- 02-08-2010: The web site database tables are in the process of being updated for the 2010 - 2011 season.
- 01-09-2009: The web site databases have been updated for the 2009 - 10 season.
- 14-09-2008: The fixtures have been received and been uploaded to the database.
- 07-09-2008: We are currently awaiting the fixture list from the Fixtures Coordinator to upload to the database.
- 04-09-2008: The web site databases have been updated for the 2008 - 9 season and await only the upload of the fixtures list.
- 20-06-2008: The borderleague.org.uk domain name has had its IPS tag changed from Easily to Zen Internet (our ISP). This is to address issues with user session management (cookies).
- 04-06-2008: The 2007 / 2008 playing season has completed, the deadline for results submission has been passed. All match cards have now been reported.

- 08-09-2007: The site is now open for the new season : the fixtures list has been updated to reflect a multitude of team withdrawls, date changes etc. This list is now definative. John & Tim
- 11-08-2007: The web site is being prepared for the 2007 - 2008 season. Please bear with us whilst the Web Manager carries out this work. The new fixtures list is being prepared by the Fixtures Coordinator.
- 26-07-2007: Site outage : ISPs problems meant that this site was down on July 26th. We apologise for any inconvenience.
- 20-05-2007: We apologise for a site outage of around three hours due the database falling over at our ISP. Normal service has been resumed.
- 01-01-2007: We have added functionality to the individual players information. You can now see at a glance all opponents plus their ratings.
- 30-09-2006: Fixture details for the Bell and Haslemere Trophies now available.
- 20-09-2006: We have added a Forum to the web site. You may register inorder to make your own posts or simply "lurk" and just read other peoples posts. If you have an opinion about Border League chess then why not share it!
- 17-09-2006: All database tables now populated and updated for the current season. First two results received via Captains directly. Captains are asked to upload their own results and manage their own players via management interface.
- 09-09-2006: Web Site databases being populated and updated for new season.
- 01-08-2006: Web Site being given overhaul for new season including brand new management functionality for Captains and Officials.
- 07-05-2006: The Players menu option has been expanded to show players without an ECF published rating, those with a FIDE Playing Card and those with either an ECF or FIDE title.
- 28-03-2006: This web site is offered for judging in the ECF "Web Site of the Year" competition.
- 10-03-2006: Tidied up various bits of formatting. Added extra local links. Added more local events to calendar.
- 01-01-2006: Happy New Year to one and all!
- 26-12-2005: A feature has been added listing local events for local players.
- 20-12-2005: Fixed a big heap of bugs and added a listing of players who have stated a Time Control preference.
- 12-11-2005: Improved results summary for individual players.
- 11-11-2005: Added functionality for Bell and Haslemere Trophy fixtures and Match Cards
- 07-11-2005: Both Fixtures and Match Cards are now list able for Division, Date, Club and Team.
- 10-10-2005: Added League Tables section.
- 28-09-2005: The SBL News feature has been enabled. Details of overgraded players dominate.
- 26-09-2005: Added further functionality to Fixtures (now per Team: go to Club, then Captains and click on the Team letter), Results: Now showing adjournments), Players (listing per club and including photographs in some cases) and Clubs.
- 25-09-2005: Server problems fixed by ISP: Sorry for the inconvenience!
- 24-09-2005: Added Results and Players sections.
- 21-09-2005: Added Match Card sample and templates: see Archive section.
- 19-09-2005: This site is now in a "live" state.
